Job summary

EMCOR Government Services, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Tour Mechanic in Herndon to monitor, troubleshoot and maintain equipment in Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings.

The role operates on a rotating shift schedule under the Local 99 CBA. The candidate should have a Journeyman HVAC License (or equivalents), CFC Universal certification, and at least 3 years of hands-on experience with chillers, pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, heat exchangers and VAVs.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ experience in maintenance and repairs on commercial-industrial building equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site operations through the BMCS control system.
• Assist with the maintenance of site equipment and building structure.
• Assist General Maintenance Workers with the maintenance and repairs of the building air systems on the site.
• Assist with the troubleshooting of all equipment on site.
• Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment on site.
• Institute corrective action and/or inform their supervisor on any deficiencies found while performing the job.
• Supervise Plumbers and General Maintenance Workers as directed by their supervisor.
• Monitor subcontractors in their tasks and provide reports when needed.
• Perform other tasks as directed by their supervisor.
