Job summary

EMCOR Government Services seeks a HVAC Tour Mechanic in Herndon, VA. The role monitors, troubleshoots and maintains equipment in the Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings.

The schedule is rotating, and the position is covered by the Local 99 collective bargaining agreement. Primary responsibilities include monitoring BMCS, maintaining site systems, and supervising maintenance staff as needed.

Qualifications

• HVAC journeyman certification or equivalent required.
• CFC Universal certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance/repair experience on commercial-industrial equipment including chillers, pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and VAVs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site operations through the BMCS control system.
• Assist with the maintenance of site equipment and building structure.
• Assist General Maintenance Workers with the maintenance and repairs of the building air systems on the site.
• Assist with the troubleshooting of all equipment on site.
• Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment on site.
• Institute the corrective action and/or inform their supervisor on any deficiencies found while performing the job.
• Supervise Plumbers and General Maintenance Workers as directed by their supervisor.
• Monitor Subcontractors in their task and provide reports when needed.
• Perform other tasks as directed by their supervisor.
