Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a knowledgeable HSE Technician II to join the Salt Lake City HSE team. The role supports health, safety, and environmental programs, conducts inspections, assists with incident investigations, and delivers training to employees and partners across multiple site environments.

The successful candidate will have strong OSHA knowledge, experience in manufacturing settings, and the ability to communicate effectively with leaders at all levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of HSE experience, including at least 3 years performing OSHA-related HSE duties in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing, preparing, and delivering training presentations to individuals and groups.
• Experience conducting workplace safety inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Conduct routine workplace inspections and environmental assessments, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response initiatives.
• Deliver new employee safety orientations and targeted occupational health and safety training programs.
