Job summary

bioMérieux in Salt Lake City is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Technician II to join the on-site HSE team. You will support and enhance HSE programs, inspect workplaces, conduct JHAs, and help drive continuous safety improvements.

The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, training delivery, incident investigations, and collaboration across all levels of the organization to prevent injuries and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Six years of HSE experience minimum.
• At least three years performing OSHA-related HSE duties in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and delivering safety trainings.
• Experience conducting safety inspections and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Conduct routine workplace inspections and environmental assessments; document findings.
• Perform JHAs and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response initiatives.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations; collect data and perform root cause analysis.
• Deliver safety orientations and training to employees and partners.
• Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
