Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. in Miami Beach is seeking a Telephone Operator for full-time night shifts (Friday–Monday 11 PM–7 AM) with on-call duties. The role includes answering calls, paging staff, and coordinating with hospital departments to ensure smooth communications.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and bilingual Spanish. Prior contact center or office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a contact center or office is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls and pages staff as needed, handling them professionally.
• Maintains customer service standards for phone communications.
• Answers the switchboard promptly and prevents calls from queuing.
• Requests departmental assistance before blind transferring calls.
• Pages personnel per approved schedule and understands hospital codes.
• Notifies appropriate staff during codes and emergencies per procedures.
• Monitors alarms and enunciators and communicates accordingly.
• Releases patient information only in accordance with policy.
