Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking a PRN Security Officer for night shifts to patrol, monitor, and protect patients and staff. You will respond to emergencies, control access, and support safety procedures across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv
• 1+ years related experience
• Driver's License (DL) required
• CPR BLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas and performs security tasks to maintain life safety standards.
• Investigates suspicious activity or persons and reports hazards.
• Responds to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls.
• Administers initial first aid as appropriate.
• Learns systems and responds to fire alarms during alarms and drills.
• De-escalates disputes and diffuses potentially violent situations.
• Unlocks buildings after verifying identification and compliance with policies.
• Monitors traffic on hospital property and investigates suspicious activity.
• Documents safety hazards and incidents; reports to appropriate entities.
• Other duties as assigned.
