Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a night-shift security professional to patrol facilities, respond to emergencies, and maintain life safety standards. You will use basic hospital security systems, de-escalate conflicts, and ensure doors are secured after verifying IDs and policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1+ year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. BLS is preferred; this position supports equal opportunity and Florida background

Qualifications

• 1+ years related experience [Required]
• Driver's License [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas and performs all security-related tasks, ensuring life safety standards are maintained.
• Responds to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls; administers initial first aid as appropriate.
• Learns applicable systems and responds to fire alarms during alarms and drills.
• Intercedes in disputes using verbal de-escalation techniques to diffuse potentially violent situations.
• Unlocks buildings after checking identification and policy compliance.
