Job summary

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH is seeking a Security Officer for night shift (11PM–7:30AM) with Tuesday and Wednesday off. The role involves patrolling hospital grounds, protecting patients, staff and visitors, handling patient valuables and responding to emergency codes.

The position requires a high school diploma, hospital security experience or CPI certification, and completion of required certifications within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in hospital security preferred.
• IAHHS Basic Security Officer Certification required within 6 months.
• Certifications for issued equipment (handcuffs, O.C. spray, taser) required within 30 days.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and hospital codes.
• Provide courtesy escorts to employees, patients and visitors.
• Maintain radio communications and document activity in the Security Log.
• Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to ensure safety.
• Assist with patient valuables handling and property security.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and Mom’s Place for infant/fetal demise issues.
• Respond to disasters and emergencies in a professional manner.
