Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must acquire key personal safety skills within 90 days of employment (i.e., handcuff, pepper spray, crisis intervention).
• Must have or be able to attend CPI training program.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Security/Safety rounds of the facility twice during shift. Documents findings, identifies hazards, and tests alarm systems.
• Assists in managing aggressive/combative patients; supports licensed staff in applying restraints; monitors high-risk patients in ED.
• Provides documentation of security incidents; writes clear reports and records in daily log.
