Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring a Night Shift Pharmacist for Springfield Regional Medical Center. The role focuses on medication management to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient therapy within a hospital setting.

You will process orders, review medications for safety, supervise staff, and provide patient education, while maintaining regulatory compliance and leveraging Epic EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited school (BS or PharmD).
• Active pharmacist license in state(s) where practicing.
• Immunization certification preferred.
• 2 years of acute care pharmacy experience required.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and provide medication review for appropriateness, safety and efficacy.
• Ensure accurate preparation of compounded and non-compounded products.
• Oversee distributive functions to ensure timely medication availability.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
• Document and resolve adverse medication events; participate in safety reviews.
• Provide patient education to improve understanding and adherence.
