Job summary

The pharmacist will verify orders, prepare sterile products, monitor therapies, and counsel patients while upholding safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• PharmD or equivalent per state licensing requirement.
• PGY-1 residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Dispense medications and supervise technicians.
• Prepare IV admixtures and sterile products; supervise compounding.
• Monitor drug therapy and advise on therapy changes as needed.
• Counsel patients on safe medication use when applicable.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and accurate inventory.
