Job summary

Gateway Regional Medical Center seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to review medication orders, monitor therapy, and provide drug information to support safe hospital-wide use of medications.

The role includes supervising pharmacy support staff, participating in process improvements, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations; the incumbent may assume essential management duties when the Pharmacy Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy is required.
• Current Illinois Pharmacist license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or Red Cross are required.
• Health-system pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders and monitor therapy.
• Provide drug information and support safe medication use hospital-wide.
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel and participate in medication-use and process-improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a resource for policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance; may assume management duties when the Pharmacy Manager is unavailable.
