Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated Night Shift Pharmacist for Springfield Regional Medical Center in Ohio. The role focuses on medication management, safety, and cost-effective therapy in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will perform medication reviews, oversee pharmacy operations, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care. A valid pharmacist license in the state, ACPE-accredited education, and acute care experience are required or preferred as noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required).
• Current pharmacist license in the state(s) where practicing (required).
• Immunization certification preferred.
• 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting (required).
• 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).
• Experience in the field of pharmacy practice (required).
• One year of experience in field of pharmacy practice (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process patient medication orders and provide medication reviews for safety and efficacy.
• Ensure accurate preparation of medications and safe handling.
• Oversee pharmacy operations to ensure timely medication availability.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Maintain security and inventory control of medications.
• Identify and document adverse medication events and contribute to prevention.
• Educate patients to improve understanding and adherence.
