Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Housekeeper – Environmental Services Technician to support hospital cleanliness and safety in the United States.

This full-time role cleans patient rooms, restrooms, and sensitive areas, following infection prevention protocols and hospital policies. You will handle waste, operate PPE correctly, and collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• All certifications required upon hire unless stated.
• Some experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the full range of restroom cleaning and complete patient room cleaning. Always following the cleaning protocol as determined by room, area, location type.
• Follows infection prevention protocols, knowledgeable of and selects the proper chemicals to accomplish cleaning task(s).
• Performs the full range of routine cleaning tasks such as maintenance of walls, doors, glass/windows, furniture and floors.
• Proper removal of trash and linen, ensuring waste streams guidelines and protocol is followed based on waste type.
• Uses PPE correctly and follows donning and doffing techniques to ensure personal safety.
