Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville Beach, FL is seeking a Facilities Technician for the Night Shift in the Plant Facilities Department. You will ensure safe operation of hospital facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and medical equipment.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care and a comfortable environment for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Associate of Arts/Science preferred.
Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance as assigned.
Take readings and keep records; respond to customer complaints.
Perform corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.
Complete work orders and understand applicable codes.
Service complex equipment such as pumps, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics and hospital devices.
Learn and maintain healthcare-specific systems and equipment.
Collaborate with Plant Facilities team to support care delivery.
