Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Facilities Technician for the Plant Facilities Department on the Beaches campus. This full-time, 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) role performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep hospital facilities safe and functional.

You will handle electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing tasks, document readings, and ensure preventive maintenance is completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• High school diploma; associate degree preferred; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing for healthcare buildings.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance as scheduled.
• Take readings and maintain records; respond to customer complaints.
• Complete work orders and ensure compliance with codes.
• Service complex equipment such as pumps, compressors, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Facilities Technician ensures the safe and efficient operation of hospital facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, and medical equipment to meet regulatory standards. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively to support a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

As a Facilities Technician You Will Be Responsible For

• General maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC,plumbing required to support healthcare buildings.
• Performs preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Takes reading and keep records. Responds to customer complaints.
• Performing corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Performing regular scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Completion of work orders and has knowledge of applicable codes.
• The position is responsible for in depth service of complex equipment such as pumps, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics and many types of hospital equipment.
• The successful candidate will have service experience with a broad background of equipment and systems; be willing to learn the unique systems and equipment utilized to support healthcare.
• The Plant Facilities Department is comprised of many different skill-sets working together to provide first class support to the direct care giving team.
