Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to provide after-hours and weekend hospice care across the Twin Cities area. You will work evenings, nights, and weekends with autonomy and support from the DPCS/ RN team.

We value empathy, professionalism, and strong communication as you coordinate with families, physicians, and the care team while documenting care and ensuring comfort at the end of life.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with licensure in good standing.
• Hospice knowledge and telephone triage preferred.
• Flexible in evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Must be able to travel within the Bristol Hospice service area.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform after-hours visits and admissions as needed.
• Direct phone calls to the appropriate RN/ supervisor and triage as required.
• Dispatch field staff to patient residences in a timely manner.
• Document calls and outcomes in the call-in software system.
• Receive and relay shift reports according to location workflow.
