Job summary

Bristol Hospice Visalia, CA is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team as Warriors of the Night, delivering after-hours hospice care and weekend visits with empathy and professionalism.

This part-time, hourly role requires autonomy, timely communication, and the ability to coordinate care with DPCS, RN Supervisor, and RN Case Manager; travel within Bristol Hospice service area and lifting duties are part of the day.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with knowledge of hospice and telephone triage preferred.
• Current licensure in good standing with the state.
• Ability to work after-hours and weekend shifts with flexibility.
• Willingness to travel within the Bristol Hospice service area.

Responsibilities

• Perform after-hours and weekend visits and admissions as needed.
• Direct calls to DPCS, RN Clinical Supervisor/Manager or RN Case Manager as appropriate.
• Dispatch field nurses and staff to patients' residences promptly.
• Refill prescriptions, order supplies and DME, and coordinate as needed.
• Document calls and outcomes in the call-management system.
• Receive start-of-shift reports and provide end-of-shift reports per location workflow.
• Other duties as assigned.
