Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to serve as Warriors of the Night, providing after-hours and weekend hospice visits. You’ll coordinate with DPCS and RN supervisors, triage calls, and ensure timely patient care in a high-stakes, empathetic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with hospice knowledge and a current license in good standing.
• Flexible in work hours and able to handle stressful situations with grieving families.
• Willingness to travel within the Bristol Hospice Service Area and use basic software systems.

Responsibilities

• Will perform after hours and weekend visits and admissions as needed.
• Follow up on calls by directing to the RN Clinical Supervisor/Manager or Case Manager and address needs per scope of practice.
• Dispatch field nurses and staff to patient residences in a timely manner.
• Refill prescriptions, order supplies and DME, and coordinate with families.
• Receive start-of-shift reports and provide end-of-shift reports per location workflow.
• Document calls, conversations and outcomes in the call-in software system.
