Job summary

Bristol Hospice Twin Cities is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for after-hours, night, and weekend coverage in the Oakdale area. You will provide critical after-hours nursing care, manage admissions, and coordinate with the extended hospice team to support patients and families.

The role requires RN licensure, flexibility in hours, and the ability to travel across the Bristol Hospice service area. Join a mission-driven team dedicated to high-quality end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with hospice knowledge.
• Current licensure in good standing with the state.
• Ability to travel throughout the Bristol Hospice service area.
• Must be flexible in work hours and handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform after-hours and weekend visits and admissions as needed.
• Direct phone calls to the DPCS, RN Clinical Supervisor/Manager or RN Case Manager and take care of needs per scope of practice.
• Dispatch field nurses and other staff to patients’ residences in a timely manner.
• Refill prescriptions, order supplies and DME, assist in coordination of patient care.
• Document calls and outcomes in the call-in software system.
• Receive start-of-shift reports and provide end-of-shift reports per location workflow.
