Qualifications

• Must have a valid Minnesota 1st Class B or higher boiler operator's license.
• Ability to read and record data from gauges, meters and data systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and safely in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency with basic MS Office and maintenance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor three high pressure steam boilers, including start-up, normal operation, and shutdown.
• Conduct boiler monitoring, water testing, and inventory management; notify supervisor of needed repairs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot boiler and steam systems; maintain associated condensate systems and backup fuel oil.
• Oversee fire alarm and suppression system inspections to ensure readiness.
• Maintain equipment, perform safety checks, and assist in annual boiler inspections.
