Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Security, Law Enforcement, Corrections or Military experience.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in critical decisions.
• Knowledge of LVHN emergency codes and response protocols.

Responsibilities

• Helps mitigate threats to the safety of staff, patients, visitors, and property within the facility.
• Intervenes when suspicious behavior is observed and detains persons when reasonable suspicion exists.
• Conducts patrols of the hospital, satellite clinic, parking lots and grounds; reports hazards.
• Maintains and operates vehicles and shuttles in a safe manner and ensures cleanliness.
• Conducts initial inquiries for administrative and potential criminal complaints; reports findings.
• Responds to coded alarms and provides security escorts when requested.
• Assists with evacuations in emergencies requiring strength and flexibility.
• Maintains high visibility to deter undesired activity and provide assistance.
