Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA, seeks a Security professional to protect hospitals, parking facilities, staff, patients and visitors. You will patrol buildings and grounds, respond to emergencies, and enforce access control for safety.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of security or related experience, or law enforcement Academy graduation. Knowledge of LVHN codes and alarm systems is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Security, Law Enforcement, Corrections or Military experience, or graduation from a Law Enforcement academy.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in critical decisions.
• Knowledge of LVHN Emergency codes and response protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot access control and alarm systems.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of security equipment.
• DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania.
• Within 90 Days: BLS and CHSO/BCCM certifications.
• Within 90 Days: CHSO - Healthcare Security Officer Basic Level.
• Within 90 Days: BCCM - Crisis Management Basics.

Responsibilities

• Helps mitigate threats to safety of staff, patients, visitors, and property.
• Intervenes when suspicious or abnormal behavior is observed.
• Conducts internal and external patrols and reports hazards.
• Maintains and operates vehicles and shuttles safely.
• Ensures proper working condition and cleanliness of vehicles.
• Performs initial inquiries for administrative and potential criminal complaints.
