Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a night-shift Security Officer to protect staff, patients and visitors at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton. You will patrol the hospital and satellite facilities, respond to codes, manage access control, and provide safe escorts as needed.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarms, reporting hazards, and assisting with emergencies. A HS diploma and PA driver’s license are required, with several certifications obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; prior security experience preferred.
• Knowledge of LVHN emergency codes and response protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot access control and alarm systems; operate security equipment.

Responsibilities

• Protects hospitals, parking facilities, and staff by patrolling facilities and ensuring safety.
• Intervenes in suspicious behavior and detains individuals when reasonable suspicion exists.
• Conducts patrols of hospital grounds, parking lots, and clinics; reports hazards.
• Maintains and operates security vehicles and shuttles safely.
• Responds to alarms and provides security escorts during emergencies.
• Assists with evacuations and serves as a visible deterrent to misconduct.
