Job summary

StaffSource seeks an experienced Third Shift Superintendent to lead overnight production in a state-of-the-art metal foundry. You will own safety, quality, and productivity for the third shift, supervising supervisors and production teams in melting, casting, and metal handling.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced foundry environment with furnace operations expertise, strong communication, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a foundry, metal manufacturing, melting, casting, or heavy industrial production environment.
• Direct melting operations experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding of furnace operations, melting processes, metal handling, casting, and overall foundry production flow.
• Experience leading production teams, supervisors, and/or team leads.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety, quality, productivity, and operational standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, make decisions, and maintain production in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for third-shift foundry and metal manufacturing operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and production employees.
• Oversee melting and production operations with safety and efficiency.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing, productivity, downtime, scrap, quality, and shift performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Maintain safety emphasis around furnaces, molten metal, and material handling.
