Job summary

StaffSource is seeking a seasoned Third Shift Superintendent to lead overnight operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will drive production performance, supervise a team of supervisors and operators, and ensure production plans are executed safely and efficiently.

The right candidate will have strong leadership, deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, and a proven record of Lean or continuous improvement initiatives, with a hands-on approach to daily shift management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading third-shift manufacturing teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards.
• Able to manage multiple supervisors and staff.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or CI initiatives is a plus.
• Comfortable working overnight and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for third-shift manufacturing operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production employees.
• Meet production schedules and daily goals safely and efficiently.
• Monitor staffing, workflow, productivity, and shift performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to resolve issues.
• Maintain workplace safety and ensure compliance with policies.
• Drive accountability for quality and production requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction.
• Review production reports and communicate priorities to leadership.
• Address employee performance and foster a positive team culture.
• Ensure proper shift handoffs and cross-department communication.
• Respond effectively to unexpected challenges.
