Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Forklift Operator for its Temple, TX distribution warehouse. You will operate material handling equipment, move freight to inventory, and replenish pick slots while maintaining safety, GMP and quality standards.

The role requires standing, walking, lifting 10–90 pounds, and working in cooler, freezer, and dry environments. A post-offer drug test and background check are required. Training on equipment and procedures is provided.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; lift up to 60–90 lbs depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Must pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck).
• Transport incoming freight to inventory and replenish pick slots.
• Maintain safety, GMP, and quality standards throughout operations.
• Perform housekeeping and report unsafe conditions.
• Complete paperwork and secure equipment at shift end.

Skills
