Job summary

Mars Snacking in Hackettstown, NJ is seeking a Night Shift Machine Operator for forklift operations in a peanut facility. You will operate equipment, perform changeovers, and support training for team members to ensure efficient production of high-quality products.

The role requires 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, with starting pay of $25+ per hour plus a $2/hour shift premium. Prior manufacturing experience and forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Proficient in using computers and PC software, including Microsoft Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Identify and resolve problems to root cause and take corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to perform equipment preventative maintenance (PM).
• Conduct and document quality control tasks including checks, date codes, item numbers, dump logs, and waste performance.
• Maintain detailed logbooks and shift support documentation in compliance with quality standards.
• Perform additional ad hoc tasks as assigned.
