Fortrex is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to maintain high cleanliness and safety standards in our food production processes. You will contribute to delivering top-quality products by performing sanitation tasks and adhering to safety practices.

The role requires following established procedures, working with leads, and handling equipment and chemicals while wearing PPE. You may work in shifts that include overnight periods and varying indoor environments.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and instruction from managers and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations (wet, hot, and/or cold environment).

Responsabilidades

• Perform sanitation labor following the eight steps of sanitation.
• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified personal protective equipment such as gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots, and safety glasses.
• Work in environments that may involve exposure to chemicals (PPE required).
• Remain standing, lifting, and crouching for periods at a time (often all night).
• Perform all tasks safely.
• Use lock‑out tag‑out (LOTO) procedures.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.
