Fortrex in Wisconsin is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety in our food production processes. The role focuses on performing sanitation tasks, following procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment to ensure top-quality products.

The job emphasizes careful adherence to safety, proper use of PPE, and collaboration with leads and management to enforce sanitation protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and instruction from managers and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations (wet, hot, and/or cold environment).

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation labor following the eight steps of sanitation.
• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified personal protective equipment such as gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots, and safety glasses.
• Work in environments that may involve exposure to chemicals (PPE required).
• Remain standing, lifting, and crouching for periods at a time (often all night).
• Perform all tasks safely.
• Use lock‑out tag‑out (LOTO) procedures.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.
