Job summary

Fortrex, through its Safe Foods division, seeks a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to uphold cleanliness and safety in our food production processes. You will contribute to delivering high-quality products while following established sanitation steps and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities include performing sanitation tasks, coordinating with leads, lifting equipment, working in varying temperatures, and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to take direction and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety-conscious with attention to detail.
• Able to work in extreme temperature fluctuations (wet, hot, cold).

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation labor following the eight steps of sanitation.
• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified PPE such as gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots, and safety glasses.
• Work in environments with exposure to chemicals (PPE required).
• Remain standing, lifting, and crouching for long periods (often all night).
• Perform all tasks safely.
• Use lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.
