Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to uphold the highest cleanliness and safety standards in our food production processes. This role contributes to delivering top-quality products by maintaining a safe and sanitary environment and complying with all sanitation procedures.

The position involves working with leads and management, lifting equipment and chemical containers, and consistently following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction from managers and be accountable for actions.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations (wet, hot, cold).

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation labor following the eight steps of sanitation.
• Work with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified PPE including gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots, and safety glasses.
• Work in environments with chemical exposure (PPE required).
• Remain standing, lifting, and crouching for long periods, often overnight.
