Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Facility Float Pool Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the Float Pool. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Under RN/LPN direction, you will assist in individualized patient care, perform designated clinical procedures, and work cooperatively with a team to support patient wellness. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• No experience required; if none, may qualify as PCA with Mercy training (90 days)
• EMT, Paramedic or prior patient care experience preferred (PCA/CNA/nurse student)
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; CNA/CPCT or Mercy employee status

Responsibilities

• Assist under RN/LPN in individualized patient care to promote wellness
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care
• Work as part of a team to achieve unit goals and ensure patient safety
