Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for 24 hours/week on the 4E Neuro unit. Under RN/LPN direction, you will assist in individualized patient care, perform clinical and support tasks, and collaborate with the care team.

The role offers a night shift (12 hours) and may evolve with experience. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPCT or enrollment in a healthcare program, and BLS within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience: None required; will consider PCA path with 175-hour training during orientation.
• Preferred EMT/Paramedic or prior patient care experience (PCA, CNA, or nursing student).
• Education: High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPCT or enrollment in a healthcare career program; age 18+.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN or LPN supervision.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to patient care.
• Work cooperatively as part of a team to achieve department goals.
