Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Cape Girardeau, MO. You will assist with individualized patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, and collaborate with the Rehabilitation team to promote wellness.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with BLS within one month and PCT competencies within 3 months. Training may occur during orientation as part of Mercy’s UAP pathway.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program; age 18+ and able to participate in Mercy's UAP training program.
• BLS certification within one month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the individualized care of patients under the direction of the RN or LPN.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to patient care.
• Work cooperatively with the Rehabilitation (ARU) team to support patient wellness.
