Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, AZ seeks a Patient Care Assistant for full-time night shifts (6pm–6:30am) to float across units and support nursing staff. The role offers weekend and holiday rotation with a flat $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18% night differential when applicable.

Responsibilities include routine patient care, data collection, documentation, and unit support. Requires CNA in state, BLS, and hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CNA in state of practice is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in a hospital/clinical setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and support the patient plan of care.
• Collect patient data including vital signs and input/output; document in medical records.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility; monitor patient status and report changes.
• Perform basic procedures under supervision (e.g., blood draws, catheter care) and support clinical staff.
• Maintain patient records and ensure chart forms are accessible and up to date.
• Support unit operations, restock supplies and assist with patient transport as needed.
