Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the float pool, providing routine patient care and supporting nursing units in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires CNA certification in-state, BLS, and strong organizational/communication skills. You will rotate between two Tucson locations and work day or 12-hour shifts with weekend requirements and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA in-state practice required for new hires and transfers.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred, hospital/clinical setting preferred.
• Excellent organizational, human relations, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic hygiene.
• Collect vital signs, input/output, and other delegated measurements; document in medical records.
• Communicate patient status and care needs to licensed professionals and care team.
• Perform unit secretary tasks and support department operations as needed.
• Maintain patient records and ensure chart forms are filed and accessible.
