Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to manage the manufacturing of poultry feed per SOPs on the 6:00 pm – 6:00 am shift. You will operate pellet mills, assist batch operations, and ensure accurate mixing and recordkeeping while maintaining a clean, compliant work area.

Responsibilities include producing pellets per QA standards, recording drug usage, and reporting deviations. The role requires night shifts, dusty/noisy environments, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in mechanics and computer skills.
• 0-2 years' relevant experience in a Feed Mill or manufacturing preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math, computer and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Works in a dusty, noisy environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates the pellet mills and mixing for optimum production.
• Keeps batch status informed and assists batch operator.
• Produces pellets per QA specifications and reports mixing errors.
• Keeps records of drugs used and deviation reports.
• Maintains a clean area and prevents contamination.
