Job summary

DPAC in Durham, NC is seeking a Facility Operations Technician for overnight, part-time support to keep the venue ready for performances and events. You will handle setup, cleaning oversight, basic maintenance, and safety checks, ensuring doors are secure and the building is guest-ready.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to lift 30-50 pounds, work independently with good communication, and commit to the 9:00 PM–4:00 AM schedule on Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Available for overnight hours, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to Durham, NC.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to lift 30–50 pounds and perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pre-event Preparation: set up tables and chairs, verify restroom cleanliness, unlock doors, turn on lights, and conduct final walkthroughs to ensure readiness.
• Supervision: oversee cleaning personnel to ensure thoroughness and timely resolution of missed areas.
• Facility Maintenance: perform routine cleaning and general maintenance, provide minor repairs, report major repairs to supervisor.
• Safety Standards: ensure compliance with safety and fire codes.
• Customer Service: provide excellent guest service and assist with inquiries.
