Job summary

Staffmark Group in New Haven, CT is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for direct hire. The role prioritizes troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

You will perform plumbing, electrical, mechanical work, maintain doors and equipment, and support the facilities team with various projects. Requires a high school diploma or GED; EPA 608 certification preferred; 6+ years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ years of related facilities or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Maintain and repair overhead doors, dock levelers, utilities, and facility equipment.
• Complete minor carpentry, masonry, metalworking, painting, roof repair, and plasterwork.
• Assist with equipment installations, replacements, lubrication, and cleaning.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance deficiencies.
• Respond to emergency maintenance and repair requests.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service documentation.
• Organize and inventory maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform snow removal and salt application during winter months.
• Support the facilities team with additional maintenance projects as assigned.
