Job summary
Staffmark Group in New Haven, CT is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to provide hands-on maintenance support in a commercial environment. The role includes assisting HVAC, electrical, and skilled trades with preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, and general facility upkeep.
The position targets candidates with HVAC or facilities maintenance experience who enjoy a mix of technical work and problem-solving in a day-to-day setting.
Qualifications
- HVAC knowledge or trade experience.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and basic facility repairs.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, codes, and regulations.
- Basic electrical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with CMMS/work order systems and MS Office (Excel).
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and respond to service calls.
- Assist HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other trades as needed.
- Start up and shut down building equipment as directed.
- Schedule and dispatch maintenance work to technicians.
- Create and maintain work orders, service logs, invoices, and reports.
- Order parts for maintenance activities.
- Perform light carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
