Job summary

Yale New Haven Health in New Haven, CT seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of plant equipment and building systems. Under supervision, you will conduct rounds, troubleshoot electro/mechanical systems, and document activities in CMMS.

Prior Pneumatic Tube or automated machinery experience is required. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and collaboration with staff to ensure uninterrupted facility operations and high customer service

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED with tech courses in electricity, electronics, machinery or equivalent on the job training.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in maintenance on Pneumatic Tube System or Manufacturing Automated Assembly Line Machinery.
• Knowledge of electricity and use of electrical testing instruments required; ability to perform electro/mechanical maintenance.
• Computer skills for CMMS documentation and log updates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, equipment rounds, and document findings.
• Troubleshoot using proper diagnostic techniques and tools to identify problems.
• Perform repair work in a professional, safe, and timely manner while meeting quality standards.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies ensuring continuous facility operations.
