Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV for overnight shifts (9:00 PM – 9:30 AM, Sat-Mon) to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems in a Madison facility. You will support automated fill and labeling lines, manage spare parts, review work orders in CMMS, and perform preventive maintenance with strong documentation.

The role requires reading blueprints, adhering to GMP/OSHA/FDA standards, and coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

Associate degree in electrical or mechanical maintenance or equivalent.
6+ years in building maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair.
Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related facility systems.
Proficient with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility systems and equipment.
Support automated fill, cap, and labeling equipment through PM and troubleshooting.
Enter, prioritize, and close work orders in the CMMS system.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and document outcomes.
Inspect building and utilities to assess condition and safety compliance.
Respond to power outages and emergencies, and assist restoration efforts.
Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, FDA, USDA and EHS policies.
Collaborate with maintenance team and outside vendors as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation and seek continuous improvement.
