Job summary

Abbott is hiring a Maintenance Technician IV for weekend nights (Saturday to Monday, 8:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.).

You will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems across office, R&D, and GMP manufacturing areas, including automated fill and labeling lines. Responsibilities include CMMS data entry, preventive maintenance, and emergency response, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• 6+ years in building maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair.
• 6+ years using hand tools, meters, and test equipment.
• Basic computer skills: Internet, Email, word processing, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems; respond to alarms and outages.
• Enter and manage work orders in CMMS; inspect facilities and document findings.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated fill, cap, and labeling equipment.
• Conduct safety and regulatory compliance tasks per GMP/OSHA/FDA/USDA.
• Provide technical support for building infrastructure and maintain documentation.
