Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Jasper, TN is seeking a Machine Operator I for the night shift (7pm–7am) on a 2-2-3 schedule. Base pay is $19.50/hr with a $1/hr shift differential; the role is a training position with potential to advance to Machine Operator 2 as you learn extrusion and quality processes.

You will verify equipment status, maintain line settings, perform QA checks, and assist with changeovers while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Six months of related or production experience is required.
• Must be able to read, write and have working knowledge of machine mechanics.
• Must have good mechanical aptitude and above average math aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Verify operational status of equipment on the line per start-up checklist.
• Maintain extrusion line settings to produce outputs that meet product specs.
• Perform QA tests on finished product to ensure quality.
• Notify supervision of deviations for prompt correction.
• Assist with line changeovers and troubleshoot with supervision.
• Conduct line/panel checks to determine product consistency.
