Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an EVS Tech Lead to supervise Environmental Services staff on the night shift. You will assist in maintaining high-quality standards, train staff, monitor schedules, and serve as the back-up supervisor when needed.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, infection control adherence, and strong public relations with patients and staff. Shift notes should be logged for PM coverage and special occurrences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience in hospital setting.
• Minimum 3 years of EVS experience or supervisory/leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager by informing on area conditions and supervising EVS staff to meet schedules.
• Serve as backup to Supervisor in absence of Supervisor.
• Lead and motivate staff; provide training as directed.
• Inspect equipment daily and report repairs.
• Maintain good relations with patients and staff and answer questions.
• Record daily notes if on PM shift for Supervisor review.
