Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking an EVS Tech II to maintain patient rooms, public areas, and treatment spaces with a focus on safety and cleanliness. Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Must be able to use the proper tracking and communication tools utilized by department.
• Must be able to work independently.
• One to three years of environmental services experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms, and other assigned areas daily.
• Follows policies on patient isolation and contact precautions as necessary.
• Stocks paper items and supplies in assigned areas as necessary.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition.
• Promotes safety in the workplace with signs and PPE.
• Uses chemicals safely and at proper dilutions.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment repairs and safety hazards.
• Communicates issues to supervisor and helps resolve them.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Exhibits professional demeanor and helpfulness to patients and colleagues.
• Presents information clearly to patients and customers and provides directions to locate services.
