Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an EVS Tech Lead to oversee Environmental Services teams on the 10:30pm-7:00am shift. This role emphasizes quality, training, and operational oversight within a busy hospital environment.

You will mentor staff, ensure schedules are followed, and act as backup to the Supervisor when needed. A strong focus on infection control, equipment checks, and patient/facility relations is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or a minimum of 5 years work experience in a hospital in lieu of the diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years of EVS experience or experience working in a supervisory/leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Leads team members by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities.
• Assists with training of Environmental Service personnel as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
• Maintains good public relations with patients, facility and staff; answers day-to-day questions as they arise.
• Inspects equipment for proper operation daily and reports equipment in need of repair.
