Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Senior EVS Associate in Mesa, AZ for a full-time night shift (11:00pm–7:30am). The role focuses on heavy cleaning, floor care, and maintaining a safe, clean hospital environment. Staff may work in morgue or specialized areas with handling of blood or body fluids.

Qualifications

• Requires 1–2 years of environmental service work experience in healthcare or institutional setting.
• Able to operate industrial cleaning equipment and use healthcare cleaning techniques.
• Good written and oral communication; able to multi-task and handle interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to cleaning service requests and perform tasks including equipment removal, cleaning, and area sanitization.
• Perform specialty cleaning and infection control in clinical areas, surgical suites, and sterile zones.
• Maintain and log department equipment cleanliness, protect equipment, and ensure proper usage and logging.
• Assess facilities to ensure neat, safe, and orderly conditions and escalate safety issues to the supervisor.
• Provide leadership for less experienced staff and assist with on-the-job training on cleaning techniques and infection control.
• Perform scheduled floor care: dust mopping, mopping, stripping, refinishing, burnishing, carpet extraction.
• Communicate status of repairs and coordinate with facilities services staff.
