Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to read and follow safety data sheets and cleaning chemical instructions.
• Effective communication with patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning of patient rooms and assigned areas according to department policy.
• Empties hampers, transports soiled linen, manages trash and medical waste.
• Restocks supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and soap.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and reports repairs as needed.
• May perform special projects like windows or wall washing.
